SIA "Latvijas Šķirnes sēklas" was established in 1993 on April 22. The main objectives of our company is to unite Latvian seed breeders, to prepare seed production grown in Latvia and trade with seed material. 

The head office is located in Riga. A specialized garden center is located next to office.  

Our company owns a grass seed pre-treatment station Kaibala with our main warehouse located next to it. In our compartment Kalte-graudi company employees carries out seed pre-treatment of Latvian farm grown grass seed production- drying, cleaning and packaging with the utmost care. We also perform various grass seed mixture preparation and trade. We also have funded shop where customers can purchase all our company's production range and other farm production as well. 

In 2005 our company has expanded its activities in the region of Kurzeme byestablishing Tiruļi district in Saldus parish. There are propagated the highest category cereal seeds and clients able to purchase all our company's production range. 

Our company employs 15 employees. 

Principal activities of our company are:

• perennial grasses and cereal seed acquisition and disposal
• grass seed pre-treatment - drying, cleaning and packaging
• systematically investigate, analyze and forecast the diverse cultures and their seed varieties to market demand, make arrangements to organize purchase and sale of seed assortment
• take orders and contract deals of certain foreign varieties of the highest ranking
• Representation of foreign varieties in Latvia
• Retail of vegetable and flower seed, planting material, garden equipment, turf and growing medium, fertilizer, plant protection, etc.
